Hello Earticle Blog readers, there is some great news from Vi, Vodafone Idea launched its 5G services in India on Tuesday. However, it offered its 5G services live in Mumbai with Bihar, Delhi, Karnataka, and Punjab expected to be next in line.
Meanwhile, the company has also added a microsite that provides details on Vi 5G prepaid and postpaid plans, which offer unlimited 5G data to its subscribers along with high-speed internet on their mobile devices.
Vodafone Idea Launched 5G Services in Mumbai
After the launch of the 5G services in Mumbai, its new 5G Microsite on Vi’s website displays the message “lightning-fast connectivity with Vi 5G” and “Welcome to the next era of communication”. The carousel of the Vi website also shows the advantages of 5G connectivity.
It is also said that after providing its 5G services in Mumbai there more cities are going to be covered like Delhi, Karnataka, and Punjab, and will provide 5G services in April.
Do Vi Users Need a New 5G SIM to Use 5G Services?
After the launch of the 5G services in India, there are lots of questions raised in the minds of the Vi customers and Vi 5G subscribers will also get confused about this fact. These questions include, Do they need a new SIM to use Vi 5G on their phone?
So Vi users no need to worry, Vi clearly said that its existing sim cards are 5G ready which means the existing 4G enabled SIM will work on compatible 5G phones and let users enjoy high-speed internet speeds on the network.
Vi 5G Plans
Apart from launching its 5G services Vi’s new 5G prepaid plans are starting from Rs.299 to avail the benefits including unlimited 5G data usage on the network.
The company also provides other 5G plans that start from Rs.349 and Rs.365 which include 1.5GB and 2GB daily data to its customers respectively with 28 days validity period.
Its most expensive prepaid plan will cost users Rs.3599, which offers 2GB daily data with a validity of 365 days along with unlimited 5G data.
For Postpaid users Vodafone Idea has introduced four unique plans named, Vi Max 451 & Vi Max 551 that will cost Rs.451 and Rs.551 per month which offers 50GB of high-speed data and later it updated with 90GB of data.
The Vi Max 751 comes for Rs.751 and offers users a total of 150GB of data. Finally, the fourth new postpaid plan is REDX 1201 which comes for Rs.1201 and provides unlimited 5G data. The users will enjoy unlimited 5G services in the 5G enabled areas.
Note: Vi (Vodafone Idea) is currently offering unlimited 5G data as a part of its introductory offer, making it the only telecom operator in India to provide unlimited 5G data included in its recharge plans with less than 2GB of daily data.
On the other hand, both Jio & Airtel offers unlimited 5G data, but only in plans that comes with at least 2GB of daily data.
