Through this merger the telecom giant plans to reshape its subscription model by giving a Free JioHotstar premium subscription along with access to most content for a limited number of hours each month except Hollywood films.
The aim of this merger is to provide content sampling and invite every consumer to come and watch their favorite content without the need for a subscription, where the users experience a full journey of watching its likely content whether it’s cricket, popular TV shows, movies, etc.

JioHotstar Free Subscription Offer
After the launch of JioHotstar, it is available to download on PlayStore and App Store. JioHotstar is offering free premium subscriptions to its selected users, however, this offer is not valid for every user. JioHotstar has also announced its apps as well as website for users.
The JioHotstar Premium Subscription which comes for Rs.499 for 3 months and Rs.1499 for a year is currently offered free.
While existing Disney+Hotstar subscribers will not see any changes when they switch to a new platform. They will continuously enjoy their current plans: mobile (Rs.149), Super (Rs.299), and Premium (Ad-free) at Rs.349 for three months.
JioHotstar Free Subscription Offer for Jio Cinema Users
Meanwhile, Jio Cinema Premium Subscribers will move to JioHotstar Premium for the remaining duration of their plans and they will be automatically upgraded to premium access. The pricing will remain similar for instance, Rs.149 for mobile subscribers and Rs.499 for quarterly subscribers.
After the launch of JioHotstar, Jio Cinema users get a complimentary offer to use JioHotstar Premium free without any additional costs. However, the validity of the plan depends on users’ Jio Cinema Subscription.

Subscribers of the Jio Cinema monthly plan and Jio Cinema yearly plan of Rs.29 and Rs.299 are automatically upgraded to the JioHotstar Premium Plan until the validity of their Jio Cinema plan ends.
Jio Cinema subscribers are also getting the JioHotstar 3-month plan at discount rates as JioHostar introduces Rs.100 and Rs.250 Off on its Premium Plans. However, they can also continue with their OTT platform even after their complimentary offer ends.

How to Migrate From Jio Cinema to JioHotstar Subscription
Step 1: First of all, you need to install JioHostar or Update your Disney+Hotstar app Play Store and App Store. After updating the app you will observe that it will converted into JioHostar.
Step 2: Once you downloaded the app or installed it, log in using your number and select your preferred language with the same that you used while purchasing Jio Cinema Premium. To log in go to my Space Tab.
Step 3: Once you log in the page will display a pop-up regarding the complimentary offer (as we discussed above). Press on the Start Watching option to proceed.
Step 4: After doing all along, your JioCinema Subscription will be migrated to JioHotstar and after this, you will have to pay for a JioHotstar Plan.
Note: The Jio Cinema subscription will continuously work for JioHotstar till the plan ends. After the plan ends you need to renew it to buy a subscription to get premium services.
JioHotstar Free Subscription for Non Jio Cinema Users
Users who didn’t have any existing Jio Cinema Plan before this merger of the Jio Cinema and Disney+Hotstar, are reportedly offering free subscription access to JioHotstar for a few days.
For instance, if the users do not have any subscription plan to Jio Cinema get a complimentary subscription to JioHotstar for free of cost until 20th February 2025.

- Once you start with a JioHostar free premium subscription, it will end after 15 days from the date of the activation.
2. Trick to Use JioHotstar Premium Without Ads
This is an exclusive method and trick to block your unwanted ads while watching your content using JioHotstar. Look at every step carefully to watch ads-free JioHotstar.
- First of all open the Settings on your smartphone.
- Then search for the DNS.
- Now click on the Private DNS.
- Next, again select Private DNS provider Hostname.
- Write down this in the URL box- dns.adguard.com
- Click on the Save button

- You will not show any ads while watching any content on the app now.
